4th of July Fireworks This Weekend!!!
|
You only have
TWO
DAYS left to secure your VIP package!
As we have for over two decades, the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce
will coordinate, fund, and host the annual Siesta Key fireworks
celebration.
With no direct taxpayer funding used to continue this local tradition,
we do offer a limited number of VIP packages to help bring the
celebration to the Key.
Each VIP package includes:
· Convenient reserved on-site parking at
Siesta Beach
· On-site gourmet picnic dinner for two
· Beer, wine and soft drinks
· Live musical entertainment
· Preferred viewing area for the
spectacular 20-minute fireworks
· Acknowledgement in event advertising
and on-site signage.
Following the celebration, in order to expedite transit from the beach
area, Sarasota County Sheriff's Deputies will designate the center lane
on Midnight Pass Road as a southbound lane to increase the flow of
traffic off the Key.
For complete details and registration information click here, or telephone us at

| "Vote No on 4" Campaign Launches New Site |
Citizens for Lower Taxes and a Stronger Economy launched a new website
to complement its campaign against Amendment 4. To date, more
than 280 labor, civic, business, planning, and environmental groups
oppose Amendment 4.
Florida voters will see Amendment 4, which proposes to require voter
approval of all changes to local comprehensive land-use plans, on the
ballot this November. The new website notes that, " a
recent study by Tony Villamil of the Washington Economic Group,
indicates that Amendment 4 would result in $4 billion of lost state and
local tax revenue due to forgone economic development projects".

| 2011 Siesta Key Visitors Guide |
 The
Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce is the area's primary contact for those
individuals interested in relocating to, or vacationing on, Siesta
Key. Annually, SKCC receives tens of thousands of inquiries,
and mails more than 15,000 copies of the "Siesta Key Visitor's Guide
and Buyer's Index" to potential visitors requesting additional
information about the area. Another 10,000 copies are
distributed locally to visitors. 25,000 copies will be
printed and available to members and the public by this November.
Only members of the Siesta Key Chamber are permitted to advertise their
products or services in this target specific publication, a niche that
can't be duplicated. For advertising information, contact
Trish Ivey at the Pelican Press at 349-4949. To download the
