The Chamber sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience that may be caused by the postponement.

If you have any questions, please call the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce (941) 349 3800 or email kevin@siestakeychamber.com.

Chamber Hires Executive Director

The Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce has named Kevin Cooper as its Executive Director.  Cooper previously served the Chamber as its Director of Membership Services.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Mr. Cooper's professional background included positions in advertising and marketing.  Before entering the private sector, Mr. Cooper spent six years serving in the United States Military.

Please join us in welcoming Kevin as our new Executive Director.

New Accommodations Hot Sheet System Set To Launch

The Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce provides a service to our accommodations members that allows our Chamber volunteers to relay availability information to thousands of calls we receive each year.

We are proud to announce the completion of a new system that will allow our accommodations members to take advantage of this opportunity online, 24/7, at their convenience.  This will undoubtedly be a more efficient and modern method of relaying up-to-date availability to prospective visitors who contact the Chamber.

The new system has a launch date of March 1, 2011.

We will be holding two informational sessions in order to familiarize our members with the new system  The dates are as follows:

  • Thursday, February 9 at 9:00 am
  • Tuesday, February 15 at 9:00 am
The sessions will take place at the Daiquiri Deck Raw Bar in Siesta Village.

Accommodations members are strongly encouraged to attend as, going forward, this will be the exclusive system used by the Chamber.  Those attending who wish to participate in the demonstration are encouraged to bring a laptop.

Please RSVP for one of the two meetings by phoning 941.349.3800 or emailing tess@siestakeychamber.com.

Exclusive Vendor Booth Opportunity

Calling all Siesta Key Chamber member restaurateurs, retailers and service providers!  The Chamber Tourism and Marketing Committee has established a great opportunity for Chamber members to promote their businesses and earn some additional income for a small investment.  As it stands, this opportunity is exclusive to Siesta Key Chamber members only!

Fiesta on Siesta Key- 2011, a two day Collegiate Volleyball event returning to Siesta Beach again this year, April 16th and 17th, is looking for businesses to participate in a Vendor Area on the beach during the Tournament.  The all college tournament attracts over 25 participating colleges from Florida and the southeast and approximately 10,000 attendees and spectators over the 2 days - a wonderful demographic for many of our member businesses and a great way to promote the area.  All participants will be staying in the immediate vicinity for the weekend.  Participation in this vendor opportunity could drive additional business into your location!

To obtain a vendor application or for more information, please e-mail Dave Carstenson - dcars@verizon.net.  Registration for a vendor space is $350 for Saturday and Sunday and proof of liability insurance must be provided.  You must bring your own 10 x 10 tent and space is allocated on a first come-first served basis.  One VIP parking space will be assigned for each vendor space rented.  This organization is committed to making certain that business types are not duplicated and vendors are limited so as to effectively promote vendor wares and services during the weekend.

This is another great opportunity that you don't want to miss.   For more information about the event click here

The Tourism and Marketing Committee is helping to coordinate the promotion of this local event.   Please feel free to e-mail Maria Bankemper or call Kevin at 941-349-3800 if you have any questions or need further assistance.

Chamber Member-to-Member Discounts

Did you know that Siesta Key Chamber members are eligible to receive $2 off any wash service and $10 off any detail service at all Eager Beaver Car Wash Locations?

Of course, one of the prominent goals of the Siesta Key Chamber is that our members do business with each other.  Member to member discounts are a great way to ensure that members do business with you.  It's also a great way to thank other members for their support of the Chamber.

If you would like to participate in the member-to-member discount program, or have in the past, please let us know by contacting Kevin at 941.349.3800 or kevin@siestakeychamber.com.

SKCC New Member Package

Upon joining the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce, new members currently receive a membership sticker and a welcome letter.  We are now putting together a more robust package that will allow new members to get to know our current members.

We are looking for current members, who wish to promote their business to new members, to provide one or both of the following items:
  • Coupons redeemable for free or significantly discounted (50%) items or services
  • Small, lightweight promotional items that can be of use and display your name and/or logo
If you would like to participate in the new member packages, please contact Kevin by phone at 349.3800 or email by clicking here to propose an item for the package.

Thanks to all of our members who are currently participating!
